Summary: Like so many things, it’s a matter of perception
Note: This is about a girl I saw on the bus the other day.
Each movement seemed overdone, exaggerated, as if its excess could make up for the flaws of its predecessors. And their owner, whose blonde hair would curl so carelessly around a finger, seemed unaware of any ulterior motive her limbs might possess.
Inferior some would call her; stupid, useless, retarded. Odd. To me, she seems greater than any who would dare say such things about her.
One might say she was simple, though really she knows more than most. She is forced to see and live how human beings treat those who are different every day of her life. Believe me, humans are far from being the kindest creature. Being advanced merely means having more ways to hurt each other.
But why would you hurt her? She is innocent though careless. Do not hate what you don’t understand, rather learn about it and become greater. Knowledge is power and the powerful have no fear for fear is simply a lack of understanding.
