Tea With a Mad Girl

some macabre demon
hunts the streets of night
he hungers for blood
the sweet wine that pours forth
from broken human flesh
the darkness is his cape
as he runs thru the shadows
he awaits his next victim
invisions enclosing her
in his fatal embrace
outside the bedroom window
he gently calls her name
she runs outside to join him
her teacher, her friend, her joy
her love, her life
her death
she is alone with a demon
but surely she can’t know
with a sharp pinprick of pain
she finds out
too late
too bad

you came into my world
just another Romeo
who would think you’d get my heart?
how was I to know?
you were always kind in nature
but I was slow to see
the hidden beauty in you
and that attracted me
and then she came
what was I to do?
you gave her your heart
just as I gave mine to you

it started off so well
just something soft and small
but then it started to grow
now I can’t handle it at all
my mind is running circles
life is just a mess
I really need to clear my head
to get rid of all this stress
somewhere in the moonlit night
I’m sitting on a star
it’s like watching from a distance
the world just seems so far
I watch the daily chaos
that some would call life
I see hurt and tears and anguish
bitterness, pain and strife
mayhap one day I’ll leave my star
and come down to visit you
for though I live someplace else
I’m still human, too

beguiling cherub, must you haunt my dreams?
you torment the shattered fragments of my mind
I know you’ll never love me the way I want, I need

my heart begs to differ, but I refuse to listen

still I wonder how it might be, dreaming of you

distancing yourself

i want to be close to you

the world

i want to get off

the prettiest star
will shine no more
her heart is broken
thrown on the floor

amid her dreams
through restless nights
scores of angels
make soundless flights

to ease the pain
but it will not do
life with out love
hurts strait through

but in her soul
she still can see
lovers drawn apart
like you and me

each lives alone
most do not know why
she looks into our souls
what she sees makes her cry

remnants of a love
of a joy, once there
and it fills her with pain
and strips conscience bare
